HADLEY, Mass. -- 116 student-athletes from Bates College's varsity winter teams have received 2023 NESCAC Winter All-Academic honors, announced Thursday by the New England Small College Athletic Conference.
Over 1,400 student-athletes have been named to the Winter All-Academic Team. To be honored, an individual must have reached sophomore academic standing, and be in good standing in their sport with a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.50 or equivalent on a 4.0 scale at the end of the Fall 2022 semester. Transfers must have completed one year of study at an institution.
Bates' women's swimming & diving junior,
Grace Wenger (Hanover, N.H.), was one of only seven on this prestigious list to earn a spot on the NESCAC All-Academic Team, the All-Sportsmanship Team, and an All-NESCAC squad this winter.
Six of Bates' honorees (including Wenger) also won All-NESCAC honors in their sport this season, including:
