100-yard breaststroke, 1st (55.47).

400-yard medley relay, 1st (3:16.12) and 2nd (3:19.06). Top split of 54.82 (Breaststroke, 1st).
400-yard freestyle relay, 1st (3:00.38), 2nd (3:00.61), 3rd (3:02.82), and 10th (3:05.32). Top split of 45.55, 8th.
800-yard freestyle relay, 1st (6:42.89), 2nd (6:44.56), and 6th (6:49.87). Top split of 1:42.00, 8th.

Career: One of 89 Senior Scholar Award-winners, who have participated in varsity sports for four years and maintained a cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or better.
2022-23: Team captain.... CSCAA Scholar All-American.... NESCAC Winter All-Academic selection.... Earned All-America honors for the first time in his career when Sommer helped the 400-yard freestyle relay team break the school record in the final of the NCAA Championships with a time of 3:00.38, good for 12th place (March 18).... Helped both the 400-yard medley relay team and the 400-yard freestyle relay team earn All-NESCAC honors with third-place showings at the NESCAC Championships.
2021-22: NESCAC Winter All-Academic selection.... Helped Bates set a new program record and take fifth place in the 400-yard freestyle relay at the NESCAC Championships.... Finished sixth in the 200 yard breaststroke at the NESCAC Championships, swimming the prelims in 2:03.43 and recording an NCAA "B" cut time of 2:03.85 in the final.... Helped the Bobcats earn All-NESCAC honors with a third-place finish in the 200-yard medley relay, breaking the program record at the NESCAC Championships.... Broke the Bates record in the 100 breaststroke with an NCAA "B" cut time of 55.58, good for fifth in the conference at the NESCAC Championships.... Helped the Bates 400-yard medley relay team break the school record and place fourth in the conference as well with an NCAA "B" cut time of 3:19.06 at the NESCAC Championships.... Finished sixth in the conference with a finals time of 25.93 in the 50-yard breaststroke at the NESCAC Championships.... Helped Bates break the program record and place fourth in the 800-yard freestyle relay at the NESCAC Championships.
2020-21: NESCAC Winter All-Academic selection.... No season due to COVID-19 pandemic.
2019-20: Helped Bates take 14th in the 800 freestyle relay (6:57.18) at the NESCAC Championships.... Placed third in the 200-yard freestyle (1:46.87) and tied for third in the 100 IM (55.18) at the WPI Invitational.... Finished fifth in the 200-IM (2:01.96) in a dual meet with Colby.... Won the 200 breaststroke in 2:13.99 in a dual meet with Middlebury.
