NESCAC Honors 178 Bobcats on 2025 Spring All-Academic Team

HADLEY, Mass. -- 178 student-athletes from Bates College's varsity spring teams have received NESCAC All-Academic honors, announced Wednesday by the New England Small College Athletic Conference.

Over 1,700 student-athletes have been named to the 2025 NESCAC Spring All-Academic Team. To be honored, an individual must have reached sophomore academic standing, and be in good standing in their sport with a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.50 or equivalent on a 4.0 scale. Transfers must have completed one year of study at an institution. Lists of All-Academic honorees were provided by the athletic departments at each institution. The cumulative GPA on record from the previous semester was used to determine eligibility.

Isabel Bettencourt (Softball), Darien Chiang (Men's Rowing), Sean Christiansen (Men's Rowing), Luke Desmaison (Men's Rowing), Connor Hartman (Men's Lacrosse), Phillippe Kosyagin (Men's Tennis), Ella Maher (Softball), Jackson Monz (Men's Track & Field), Andrew Mottur (Men's Track & Field), Delaney Rankin (Softball), Theo Sardain (Men's Tennis), Olivia Szachta (Women's Rowing), and Emma Yen (Softball) also collected All-NESCAC honors in their respective sport this season.

Ben Adey (Men's Tennis), Izzy Beck (Men's Rowing), Madeline Cournoyer (Women's Golf), Colton Curtis (Men's Lacrosse), Freddie Curtis (Men's Golf/Track & Field), Miryam Keller (Women's Rowing), Emily Mueller (Women's Lacrosse), Sienna Pietrasiewicz (Softball), and Eli Terrell (Men's Track & Field) earned both All-Academic and All-Sportsmanship accolades this spring season.

Founded in 1971, the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) consists of 11 liberal arts colleges and has consistently reflected its commitment to the values of athletics and academic achievement. The member colleges of the conference are Amherst College, Bates College, Bowdoin College, Colby College, Connecticut College, Hamilton College, Middlebury College, Trinity College, Tufts University, Wesleyan University, and Williams College.
