Navya Gupta, split a pair of matches Friday at the CSA Individual National Championships, advancing to the consolation semifinals of the Holleran North bracket.
The native of Mohali, Punjab, India lost a 3-0 decision (7-11, 6-11, 6-11) to William Smith College's Rafaela Albuja in the opening round of the Holleran North bracket before rebounding with a 3-0 (11-6, 12-10, 11-5) defeat of Rachel Matamoros (Connecticut College) in the consolation round quarterfinals.
Gupta, an All-NESCAC Second Team selection, now prepares to square off against Lily Seckendorf of Brown College Saturday at 10:00 a.m.

Andy Martagon saw her collegiate career come to a close Friday.
The three-time All-NESCAC First Team honoree defeated Colby's Abhisheka David by a score of 3-1 (11-7, 9-11, 11-7, 11-6) in the Holleran South round of 16. Later in the day, Martagon took on the Yuvna Gupta of Stanford University in the quarterfinals, falling 3-0 (4-11, 2-11, 1-11) to conclude her season.
The native of Puebla, Mexico compiled an individual record of 15-5 for the Bobcats this season. Martagon had been on fire since the end of January, having won nine straight matches for the Bobcats before her setback vs. the Stanford first-year.
