Biography
2024-25: First Team All-NESCAC.... NESCAC Winter All-Academic selection.... Played all season at the No. 1 position for the Bobcats, compiling a record of 5-7 against the best of the best in collegiate squash..... She was selected to compete at the College Squash Association Individual Championships in January.... After playing one match, she sacrificed individual glory for the team as she returned to Bates and helped the Bobcats earn a key 5-4 win over Wesleyan, clinching a bid in the NESCAC tournament.... Gupta, who is now a two-time All-NESCAC selection after being named to the second team last year, capped off her season in style with a 3-2 (11-4, 11-5, 7-11, 5-11, 11-0) win over her opponent from Bowdoin at the CSA Divisional Championships.
2023-24: Second Team All-NESCAC.... Went 13-8 while playing at the No. 2 position as a rookie for the Bobcats.... Won seven of her last eight matches on the season for Bates, and avenged her lone loss in that time frame by defeating Tufts University's Riddhi Joshi in their NESCAC Championships quarterfinal match by a score of 3-0 (11-7, 11-4, 11-3).... Earned first collegiate win with a 3-0 (11-9, 11-5, 11-9) victory over her opponent from rival Bowdoin (Dec. 2).... Picked up an impressive 3-2 (11-8, 8-11, 11-8, 8-11, 12-10) win over her opponent from Williams (Jan. 12).... Gutted out a 3-2 (8-11, 11-9, 11-9, 2-11, 11-5) win over her opponent from Amherst (Jan. 20).... Defeated a different Bowdoin foe at No. 2 by a count of 3-1 (11-1, 12-14, 13-11, 11-7) (Jan. 31).... Won both her matches at the CSA Team Championships and went 1-2 at CSA Individual Nationals.
Personal: 2022 graduate of Pathways School Noida (India) where she competed in squash, tennis, and swimming ... Proficiency certificate in Economics HL, Math AA HL, Physics SL, and Global Politics in the The International Baccalaureate® (IB) Diploma Programme.
