PHILADELPHIA, Pa. -- No. 24 Bates College faced off against top seed and No. 21 ranked St. Lawrence University in Saturday's 2026 Divisional Collegiate Women's Team Squash Championship semifinals as the Bobcats dropped an 8-1 decision to the Saints.
Bates' lone triumph came courtesy of sophomore captain
Scarlett Hine, who secured a 3-0 victory (11-7, 11-3, 11-3) over Mariam Dodd at the No. 3 position. This marks Hine's second win over Dodd in the last six days as the foes faced off just six days ago in Canton, N.Y.
St. Lawrence, winners of four-straight, improves to 14-5 overall. The garnet and white goes to 5-10 on the year.
Bates, serving as the No. 4 seed in the Walker Cup division of the event, will now take on No. 2 seed and No. 22 ranked Hamilton College in Sunday's playoff match at 9 a.m. as the Continentals dropped a 6-3 result to No. 3 seed and No. 23 ranked Franklin & Marshall.
St. Lawrence and F&M will play in the Walker Cup final, also Sunday at 9:00 a.m.
