MIDDLETOWN, Conn.-- No. 20 Bates College, playing its second road match in as many days, suffered a 5-4 loss Saturday at No. 25 Wesleyan University in women's squash action.
Highlights of the afternoon for the Bobcats included victories at the top three positions as
Andy Martagon (No. 1),
Navya Gupta (No. 2), and
Aasya Patel (No. 3) each earned wins for the garnet and white.
Grace Flaherty also secured a triumph for a Bates with a 3-1 defeat over Wesleyan's Laila Kewalramani at No. 6.
The Bobcats (5-7) return home to host No. 18 Bowdoin Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. in the Bates Squash Center. Martagon, the team captain, will be honored prior to the match as Bates celebrates Senior Night that evening.
