WATERVILLE, Maine -- No. 19 Bates College collected its third win over its last four outings Wednesday as the Bobcats held off No. 25 Colby College, 5-4, to clinch a clutch road victory.

Sumairaa Suleman recorded a 3-1 win over Colby's India Spencer at the No. 4 position while teammates Tia Billimoria and Grace Flaherty logged 3-0 shutout triumphs, respectively, at No. 5 and 6.

Not to be outdone, Daina Velez recorded a 3-1 defeat of MacKenzie O'Shea at No. 8. Hollis Hale needed only 15 minutes to dismiss Pepper Claytor, 3-0, in the No. 9 slot.

The Bobcats (4-6) will now travel south to New London, Conn. to take on No. 27 Connecticut College this Friday at 4:00 p.m.
