LEWISTON, Maine --  Bates College women's squash pocketed its second-straight victory Friday as the No. 19 Bobcats strutted to an 8-1 triumph over visiting St. Lawrence University in the Bates Squash Center.
Andy Martagon,
 Aasya Patel, Sumairaa Sulemann, and
 Grace Flaherty each enjoyed shutout performances for the garnet and white. 
Navya Gupta and 
Tia Billimoria walked away with 3-1 victories at positions No. 2 and 5, respectively.
The match of the evening came at the No. 8 position where Bates' 
Daina Velez went the distance vs. Tita Hicks, defeating her opponent in five games (11-5, 9-11, 9-11, 11-9, 11-3).
The Bobcats, now 3-5 on the year, return to action Saturday at 4:00 p.m. with another home contest, this time vs. No. 13 Amherst.
