NEW ORLEANS -- The Bates women's indoor track and field team received a host of All-East Region honors on Wednesday, as announced by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.
The top-8 individuals in each event from each region on the year-end Descending Order Lists earned All-Region distinction, in addition to each member of the region's top-8 relay teams.
The Bates 4x400 relay and Distance Medley Relay both picked up All-Region honors, with the 4x400 team of sophomore
Alexia Zamora (North Salem, N.Y.), sophomore
Graca Bila (Westbrook, Maine), first-year
Charlotte Everhart (Vienna, Va.), and first-year
Hannah Pawlowski (Bow, N.H.) running the fourth-fastest time in Bates history with their mark of 3:57.10. Meanwhile, the DMR team of first-year
Lily Day (Cortlandt Manor, N.Y.), junior
Lia Traficonte (Cumberland, Maine), senior captain
Lucy Paynter (Hillsborough, Calif.), and sophomore
Mikayla Ferguson (Winchester, Mass.) recorded a season-best time of 12:46.71, also landing them on the All-Region list.
Bila and Pawlowski earned All-Region honors individually as well, with Bila recognized for her performance in the triple jump and Pawlowski in the 800 meters. Bila's triple jump of 37-5.25 (11.41m) ranks second all-time at Bates and Pawlowski's time of 2:14.01 in the 800 meters is sixth on the all-time performance list.

Alannah Ardrey (New York, N.Y.), sophomore
Campbell Johnson (Naples, Maine) and first-year
Alisandra Lindos (Westbrook, Maine) join Bila as All-Region triple jumpers. Johnson qualifies based on her season-best leap of 36-6.75 (11.14m), Ardrey checks in at 36-11.75 (11.27m), and Lindos is tied for third on the Bates all-time performance list with her mark of 37-0.25 (11.28m).
A pair of Bobcats earned All-Region honors in the shot put. First-year
Temperance England (Havertown, Pa.) was tops on the team this year in the event with her throw of 40-0.5 (12.20m), good for fifth on the Bates all-time performance list. Meanwhile, sophomore
Marie-Ève Maillet (Saint-Antoine, New Brunswick) joined England as an All-Region performer with her career-best throw of 39-6.5 (12.05), good for seventh all-time at Bates.
Senior captain
Carli Ciavarelli (Ridgefield, Conn.) is once again All-Region in the 20-pound weight throw, based on her season-best toss of 55-7 (16.94m). Her fellow senior captain
Moriah Scharn (Dunstable, Mass.) earned All-Region honors in the 60-meter hurdles thanks to her career-best time of 8.91 seconds, which ranks third all-time at Bates.
Sophomore
Juno Rogers (Decatur, Ga.) rounds out the All-Region Bobcats as she picked up the honor in the pentathlon based on her career-best point total of 3,057, good for a tie for fifth on the Bates all-time performance list.
