WOODFORD, Vt. -- The Bates Nordic skiing team wrapped up the Williams Carnival on Saturday with the 3x5K classic relay races, held at Prospect Mountain.
On the men's side, sophomore
Oliver Wilson (Dublin, N.H.), first-year
Forrest Slingerland (Glens Falls, N.Y.), and sophomore
Cabot Godoy (Mammoth Lakes, Calif.) teamed up to place 18th out of 22 teams with a time of 47:24.7, earning 32 carnival points.
Meanwhile, sophomores
Hannah Grohman (Biddeford, Maine),
Greta Hendrickson (Duluth, Minn.), and
Elsa Sanborn (Burlington, Vt.) teamed up to place 19th out of 22 teams in the women's race with a time of 55:17.8, earning 25 carnival points.
Combined, the Bates Nordic and alpine skiing teams scored 274 carnival points, good for 11th out of 14 EISA schools.
Bates is back in action next Friday and Saturday at the Middlebury Carnival.
