MIDDLETOWN, Conn. -- Seeing its first action since Jan. 19, Bates women's squash visited No. 19 Wesleyan Sunday as the No. 24 Bobcats dropped an 8-1 decision to the Cardinals.
Bates' lone triumph came courtesy of junior captain
Tia Billimoria, who secured a hard-fought, 3-1 victory (12-10, 14-12, 10-12, 11-7) over Avika Pande at the No. 2 position.
Wesleyan improves to 9-4 overall with the triumph. The garnet and white goes to 4-5 on the year.
The Bobcats now return home to host No. 18 Bowdoin Friday at 6:00 p.m. on what will be Senior Night at the Bates Squash Center.
