BRUNSWICK, Maine -- Navya Gupta (So.), along with first-year standouts Scarlett Hine and Yasmine Khan, each collected victories Wednesday as the #20 Bobcats visited #18 Bowdoin for a women's squash showdown.

The host-Polar Bears (8-3) won the match, defeating Bates by a score of 6-3.

Gupta, playing at the top spot for Bates, needed five games (7-11, 10-12, 11-9, 11-7) to erase Bowdoin's Emma Kate Watts-Roy.  Hine coasted to a 3-0 sweep (12-10, 11-6, 11-7) of Eshika Tangri in the No. 3 position while Khan outlasted Clare Collins in five (12-10, 11-5, 9-11, 9-11, 11-3) at No. 4. Each member of the trio has now won two-straight outings for the garnet and white. 

Bates (4-5) will return to the road this Friday for a visit to No. 11 Tufts at 5:00 p.m.
