LEWISTON, Maine -- #28 Bates women's squash recorded its first 9-0 victory since Jan. 22, 2020 (vs. Colby) Tuesday as the Bobcats coasted to a tidy home win vs. #32 Mount Holyoke College in the Bates Squash Center.

In the final outing of a season-long, four-match homestand, the garnet and white improves its record to 3-10. The Lyons drop to 3-6 with the setback.

All but one of the evening's matches ended in 3-0 triumphs for the Bobcats. 

Andy Martagon (So.-Puebla, Mexico), Erika Parker (Sr.-San Salvador, El Salvador), Cordelia Dotson (Sr.-Prides Crossing, Mass.), Victoria Haghighi (Sr.-Bronx, N.Y.), Daina Velez (So.-Bronx, N.Y.), Abigail Zerbey (Sr.-North Andover, Mass.), Caroline Taggart (So.-Concord, Mass.), and Dani Levy (So.-Brookline, Mass.) each enjoyed shutout performances in their respective contests.

Aasya Patel (Madhya Pradesh, India), after slipping in the first game of her match at No. 2, answered with emphatic wins of 11-1, 11-1, and 11-3 to complete an 18-minute, 3-1 comeback win for the Bobcats.

Bates heads on the road for their next competition with a visit to #14 Amherst College scheduled for this Sunday at 1:00 p.m.
