BOULDER, Colo. -- Seven members of the Bates Nordic ski teams were honored by the United States Collegiate Ski Coaches Association on Wednesday as members of the 2022 National Collegiate All-Academic Ski Team.

Bates' group is led by two repeat honorees in junior Sam Delamere (Fairbanks, Alaska) and senior captain Olivia Skillings (Portland, Maine).

To make the team, skiers must have a 3.5 cumulative grade point average, matching the highest GPA requirement of any coaches association academic team nationally, and skiers must participate at one of the three regional championships. 

Nine members of the Bates alpine ski team also received USCSCA All-Academic recognition.
