MEDFORD, Mass. -- Sophomore Andrea Martagon and junior captain Erika Parker won at the No. 1 and 2 positions respectively in a 7-2 loss for the No. 15 nationally ranked Bates women's squash team at No. 16 Tufts Friday night.

Martagon (Puebla, Mexico) rallied from down two games to one to win a thrilling match over Riddhi Joshi by a count of 3-2 (11-6, 8-11, 5-11, 13-11, 13-11) at the No. 1 position. It's her second straight win after picking up a victory at No. 1 against her Bowdoin opponent on Thursday.

Parker (San Salvador, El Salvador) also won her second straight match, in similar fashion. After falling 11-2 in the third game to fall behind 2-1, Parker won two games in a row to win 3-2 (11-9, 13-15, 2-11, 11-6, 11-9) over Caroline Chin at the No. 2 position. 

Junior Cordelia Dotson (Houston, Texas) grabbed a 2-0 lead in her match before falling in five games 3-2 (8-11, 10-12, 11-9, 14-12, 11-7) at No. 8. Junior Victoria Haghighi (Bronx, N.Y.) fell in four games and Tufts (4-1) swept the other five matches. 

The Bobcats (2-3) host No. 2 nationally ranked Trinity Saturday at 5:30pm.
