NORTHBOROUGH, Mass. -- The Bates women's lacrosse team is once again an Academic Honor Squad and 17 Bobcats earned a place on the IWLCA Division III Academic Honor Roll, as announced Wednesday by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association.

To qualify to be an Academic Honor Squad, a women's lacrosse team must have posted a 3.2 or higher team GPA for the academic year. And in order to make the Academic Honor Roll, a women's lacrosse student-athlete must be a junior, senior, or graduate student and have earned a cumulative academic GPA of 3.50 or greater.  

An impressive 17 Bobcats earned a spot on the Honor Roll, tied for the most in all of NCAA Division III. Psychology major Peyton Burg '27 (McLean, Va.), biology major Grace Cassin '27 (Glen Rock, N.J.), politics major Lindy Child '27 (Bethesda, Md.), economics major Amanda DiTommaso '27 (Ridgewood, N.J.), psychology major Frankie Franz '26 (Chatham, N.J.), politics / Hispanic Studies double major Sarah Jane Gavin '26 (Boston), physics major Kailah Greenberg '26 (Acton, Mass.), psychology major Caroline Keating '26 (Rye, N.Y.), English / politics double major Clare McGeever '26 (Berlin, Conn.), neuroscience major Laci Raveis '27 (Fairfield, Conn.), environmental studies major Julia Roelofs '26 (Rye, N.H.), history major Zoe Schaedle '26 (Philadelphia), psychology major Annie Smith '27 (Essex, Mass.), politics major Lucy Taylor '27 (Falmouth, Maine), rhetoric, film, and screen studies major Raegan White '26 (Duxbury, Mass.), economics major Lauren Wong '26 (Walpole, Mass.), and psychology major Grace Yonchak '26 (Needham, Mass.) were all named to the IWLCA Division III Academic Honor Roll this year. 

Gavin, Greenberg, Keating, McGeever, Roelofs, Schaedle, White, Wong, and Yonchak are all repeat Honor Roll selections. 

Under head coach Princess L. Zabel, the Bobcats won seven games in 2026 and Keating was named an IWLCA All-American. Bates picked up NESCAC wins over rival Bowdoin, Hamilton, and Connecticut College, qualifying for the NESCAC tournament for the second straight year.

The IWLCA honored 1,350 student-athletes from 174 different institutions on the 2025-26 IWLCA Division III Academic Honor Roll. They named 357 schools across Division I, II, III, and NAIA as IWLCA Academic Honor Squads for the 2025-26 academic year.
