SMITHFIELD, R.I. -- The Bates women's outdoor track and field team visited Bryant University on Friday for the Jaylin Rainford Invitational, with the Bobcats scoring 34 points to finish in seventh place.
Meet Highlights
- Junior Alannah Ardrey (New York City) was the runner-up in the triple jump with a mark of 36-2.75 (11.04m) with sophomore Graca Bila (Westbrook, Maine) took sixth with a leap of 34-5.75 (10.51m).
- Junior Anushka Chavda (Nottingham, N.H.) won her section and took fifth overall in the 100-meter dash in 12.90 seconds.
- Senior Kayla Burnham (Hartland, Vt.) placed fourth in the 5,000 meters in a personal-record time of 19:34.58.
- Sophomore Juno Rogers (Decatur, Ga.) finished sixth in the 100-meter hurdles in 15.67 seconds. She also took fourth in the high jump with a leap of 4-9 (1.45m).
- Sophomore Dara Salka (Somers, Conn.) was sixth in the 400-meter hurdles in 1:07.37.
- Senior captain Carli Ciavarelli (Ridgefield, Conn.) placed eighth in the hammer throw with a toss of 150-6 (45.88m) and 10th in the discus with a personal-record throw of 113-2 (34.50m), the latter good for 10th on the Bates all-time performance list.
- Sophomore Marie-Ève Maillet (Saint-Antoine, New Brunswick) took sixth in the javelin with a personal-record throw of 121-3 (36.95m), good for third on the Bates all-time performance list.
The Bobcats are back in action on Saturday, April 4 when they head to Amherst, Mass. for the Amherst Spring Fling.
