HADLEY, Mass. -- Bates senior left fielder
Gibby Sullivan is the NESCAC Baseball Player of the Week, as announced Monday by the New England Small College Athletic Conference. On top of that, he was named to the D3baseball.com Team of the Week for the second straight week and the third time in his career.
Sullivan (Yarmouth, Maine) continued his scorching hot start to the season Saturday at Bard, going 4-6 with six runs scored, seven RBIs, a double, a triple, a home run, four walks, and a stolen base in a doubleheader sweep of the Raptors. He sports a remarkable 1.927 OPS through five games and has driven in more runs this year (14) than he did all of last season (13) as the Bobcats (4-1) are off to their best start since 2013.
Sullivan is the first Bobcat to be named the NESCAC Player of the Week since
Brandon Biggane '25 in 2024.
