HANCOCK, Vt. -- Sophomores
Evan Gramas and
Helena Jankovic both shined in the slalom on Saturday for the Bates alpine skiing team as the Bobcats concluded the carnival season at the Middlebury Snow Bowl.
Gramas (Stowe, Vt.) took 14th place out of 90 collegiate skiers in the men's race with his two-run combined time of 1:41.03, good for 28 carnival points and 18 NCAA points.
First-year
William Hostetter (Stowe, Vt.) and sophomore
Stanley Andrie (Vail, Colo.) rounded out the scoring for the men's team in 45th (1:48.97, seven carnival points) and 46th (1:49.41, six carnival points) place, respectively.
On the women's side, Jankovic (Pittsfield, Mass.) placed 20th out of 79 collegiate skiers with her two-run combined time of 1:40.92. She picked up 23 carnival points and 11 NCAA points. Meanwhile, junior
Juliette Hoder (Stowe, Vt.) recorded another top-30 finish, taking 28th in 1:41.68. It was enough for 17 carnival points and three NCAA points. In her final carnival, senior
Lindsey Aten (Park City, Utah) rounded out the scoring in 31st place, earning 15 carnival points for the Bobcats as she posted a two-run combined time of 1:43.06.
With the Middlebury Carnival being the final carnival of the season, the Bobcats celebrated their seniors this weekend: Aten,

Molly Quinlan (Park City, Utah),
Caroline Roy (Wellesley, Mass.), and team captain
Georgie Honeybone (Bellevue, Wash.).
The Bobcats combined with the Nordic skiing team to score 311.5 points at the Middlebury Carnival, good for 11th place out of 14 schools.
