WILMINGTON, N.Y. -- A pair of Bobcats placed in the top 30, highlighting Thursday's giant slalom races on Whiteface Mountain for the Bates alpine skiing team at the St. Lawrence Carnival.
First-year
Regan Clute (Tahoe City, Calif.) led the way again for the Bobcats, taking 14th out of 85 competitors with her two-run combined time of 2:14.27. Clute picked up 26 carnival points and 18 NCAA points for her efforts. Meanwhile, first-yearÂ
Sydney Kuder (Pittsburgh, Pa.) also landed in the top 30, placing 21st with her two-run combined time of 2:15.05. Kuder earned 22 carnival points and 10 NCAA points. JuniorÂ
Juliette Hoder (Stowe, Vt.) rounded out the scoring for the women's team in 33rd place with her two-run combined time of 2:17.33, earning 14 carnival points.
On the men's side, sophomoreÂ
Stanley Andrie (Vail, Colo.) was in the scoring column once again, taking 43rd place with a two-run combined time of 2:14.24, good for nine carnival points.
Combined, the Bobcats are in 10th place out of 14 EISA schools at the St. Lawrence Carnival with 238.5 carnival points with one event remaining, the slalom on Friday morning. The action gets underway at 9 a.m.
