WATERVILLE, Maine -- Bates College men's tennis concluded its 2024-25 campaign Sunday at Colby College as the visiting Bobcats dropped a tough 4-3 decision to the Mules.

The home team set the tone early by taking all three doubles matches to secure the initial point of the day.

1) Jake Cohen & Jason Daly (Colby) def. Phillippe Kosyagin & Theo Sardain (Bates): 6-4
2) Aidan Kwong & Marco Ziets-Segura (Colby) def. Ben Adey & Evangelo Kapothanasis (Bates): 6-2
3) Josh Kaplan & Diego Sosa (Colby) def. Eric Diop & James Sacco (Bates): 6-1

Bates attempted to make up the difference in singles play with winning performances at positions 3, 5, and 6. Diop closed his first collegiate season with a 6-3, 6-3 dismissal of Ziets-Segura at position No. 3. Tylan Ozkuzey also recorded a victory in the last match of his maiden season, sending off Kaplan by the score of 6-1, 6-2 at No. 5.

Senior and team captain, Eli Criss, finishes his career as a Bobcat with a 6-2, 7-5 triumph over Kevin Mortimer at No. 6 singles.

Colby (7-9, 2-8 NESCAC) was able to clinch the conference win with W's in the remaining singles contests:

4) Aidan Kwong (Colby) def. Ben Adey (Bates): 6-1, 6-2

The garnet and white finishes the year at 4-14 with a 2-8 mark in NESCAC play.
