LEWISTON, Maine -- Bates College men's tennis welcomed No. 15 Wesleyan to Merrill Gymnasium Sunday as the Bobcats played its final regular-season home contest of the season. Prior to first serve, the garnet and white celebrated senior captains

Once the action was underway, it would be Wesleyan securing a 5-2 road win over the home team.
The Bobcats (4-12, 2-6 NESCAC) came out strong in doubles play, earning the first point of the match with victories at positions No. 1 and No. 3.
Theo Sardain and
Phillippe Kosyagin controlled Wesleyan's Harry Collomb and Max Litton at No. 1 doubles by a score of 6-2. At No. 3,
Eric Diop and
James Sacco won by the same score with a victory over Jex Frankel and Max Lustgarten. The Cardinals salvaged a win at No. 2 doubles, as Chase Kasday and Brett Keeling topped Adey and Kapothanasis, 6-3.
Despite the early momentum, Wesleyan (8-3, 4-3 NESCAC) responded in singles play, winning five of the six matches. Bates' lone singles victory came from Criss at No. 6, as the senior swept Tai MacDonald in a 6-4, 6-3 triumph.

5) Kasday (Wesleyan) def. Sacco (Bates): 6-2, 6-4
The Bobcats will now prepare to visit No. 5 Bowdoin on Wednesday, Apr. 23 at 3:30 p.m.
