HANOVER, N.H. -- The Bates Nordic skiing teams competed in their second 20K freestyle of the year Saturday at the Dartmouth Carnival, held at Oak Hill.
First-year
Greta Hendrickson (Duluth, Minn.) led the way for the Bobcats, taking 33rd out of 80 women's collegiate skiers in the mass start race with her time of 55:59.9. Hendrickson earned 16 carnival points for her efforts. Fellow rookie
Hannah Grohman (Biddeford, Maine) was close behind in 35th place with a time of 56:02.1, picking up 14 carnival points. Senior captain
Nina Chosy (Madison, Wis.) rounded out the scoring for Bates in 50th place with a time of 58:12.7, enough for nine carnival points.
On the men's side, seniorÂ
Mathias Boudreau-Golfman (Londonderry, Vt.) paced the Bobcats in 48th place out of 78 collegiate skiers with his time of 50:51.2, good for 12 carnival points. First-yearsÂ
Sage Grossi (Montpelier, Vt.) and
Oliver Wilson (Dublin, N.H.) rounded out the scoring for the men's team in 57th and 62nd place respectively.Â
Combined, the Bates Nordic and alpine skiing teams scored 263 carnival points at Dartmouth over the course of two days, good for 11th place out of 14 EISA schools.Â
