FRANCONIA, N.H. -- Sophomore
Juliette Hoder led the Bates alpine skiing teams in the slalom on Saturday, taking 21st place out of 71 collegiate skiers at the UNH Carnival as the Bobcats wrapped up their 2025 season.
Hoder (Stowe, Vt.) put down a two-run combined time of 1:38.95, earning 21 carnival points and 10 NCAA points. She was joined in the scoring column on the women's team by first-year
Helena Jankovic (Pittsfield, Mass.) and senior captain
Sequoia Anstine (Steamboat Springs, Colo.), who placed 39th and 41st respectively. Jankovic recorded a two-run combined time of 1:44.50 while Anstine wrapped her collegiate career in 1:45.85.
On the men's side, senior captain
Nic Hotermans (Weston, Mass.) just missed a top 30 finish for the second straight day, taking 34th out of 78 collegiate skiers with a two-run combined time of 1:32.63. He earned 14 carnival points in his final race as a Bobcat. First-year
Evan Gramas (Morrisville, Vt.) wasn't too far behind, taking 38th in 1:33.44, enough for 11 carnival points. Senior
Marat Washburn (Steamboat Springs, Colo.) rounded out the scoring in 45th place with a two-run combined time of 1:35.70, earning eight carnival points in his final collegiate race.
Combined, the Bates alpine and Nordic skiing teams scored 269 carnival points over the course of two days at the UNH Carnival, good for 11th place out of 14 EISA schools.
