Greta Hendrickson placed 28th and 39th in their respective races to pace the Bates Nordic skiing teams Friday in the 10K freestyle at the Saint Michael's Carnival, held at Sleepy Hollow.
Roennau (Aspen, Colo.) crossed the finish line in 26:36.20, good for 28th out of 80 finishers and 18 carnival points. He also picked up three NCAA points for his performance. First-year
Sage Grossi (Montpelier, Vt.) continued his strong start to his collegiate career by taking 34th place in 26:49.10, earning 15 carnival points. Senior
Mathias Boudreau-Golfman (Londonderry, Vt.) rounded out the scoring for the men's team in 61st place with a time of 27:59.20, picking up 10 carnival points.
On the women's side, Hendrickson (Duluth, Minn.) notched a time of 31:15.30, good for 39th out of 84 competitors and 15 carnival points. First-years
Hannah Grohman (Biddeford, Maine) and
Elsa Sanborn (Burlington, Vt.) rounded out the scoring in 52nd and 56th place respectively.
Combined, the Bates Nordic and alpine skiing teams sit in 11th place out of 14 EISA schools with 141 points through one day at the Saint Michael's Carnival. The Nordic skiing teams return to action Saturday when they compete in the 3x5K classic relay.
