STEAMBOAT SPRINGS, Colo. -- Bates Nordic skiing senior captain Olivia Cuneo wrapped up the 2024 NCAA Championships on Saturday when she competed in the 20K classical technique race at Howelsen Hill. 

Cuneo (St. George, Vt.) raced to the finish in 1:13:07.2, good for 39th place. She wraps up her senior year having led the Bates women's Nordic team in every race this season, qualifying for her first career NCAA Championships thanks in large part to her career-best second-place finish in the 1.3K freestyle and a 15th-place showing in the 15K classic at the Dartmouth Carnival in February. 

Combined, Cuneo and first-year alpine skier Juliette Hoder (Stowe, Vt.) recorded six points at the NCAA Championships, giving the Bates skiing team a 22nd place finish overall.
