WOODFORD, Vt. -- Senior captain
Olivia Cuneo notched another top-30 finish to lead the Bates Nordic skiing teams in the 10K classical technique race Friday at the Williams Carnival, held at Prospect Mountain.
Cuneo (St. George, Vt.) crossed the finish line in 39:32, good for 25th place out of 87 competitors. She earned 23 carnival points and seven NCAA points. Senior
Rebecca Feist (Fairlee, Vt.) and junior
Katie Watt (Concord, N.H.) rounded out the scoring for the women's team in 50th and 53rd place respectively, with Feist recording a time of 41:01.3 and Watt crossing the line in 41:18.7.Â
On the men's side, junior
Mathias Boudreau-Golfman (Londonderry, Vt.) paced the Bobcats, placing 37th out of 81 competitors with a time of 34:28.9, good for 12 carnival points. First-year
Wyatt Teaford (Peru, Vt.) took 44th in 34:42.6 and senior captain
Cal Schrupp (Gilford, N.H.) rounded out the scoring in 35:13.1, earning nine carnival points for his 51st place finish.
Combined, the Bates Nordic and alpine skiing teams scored 150.5 points on Friday, good for 11th place out of 14 EISA schools. The Nordic skiing teams are back in action Saturday at the Williams Carnival when they compete in the 3x5K freestyle relay.
