HANOVER, N.H. -- Bates Nordic skiing senior captain
Olivia Cuneo took 15th place out of 92 competitors in the 15K classical technique race Saturday, wrapping up her best carnival to date as a Bobcat.
A day after taking second place in the 1.3K freestyle, Cuneo (St. George, Vt.) kept the momentum going and raced to the finish in the mass start race in 55:09.5, earning 26 carnival points and 16 NCAA points.
JuniorsÂ
Nina Chosy (Madison, Wis.) and
Katie Watt (Concord, N.H.) rounded out the scoring for the Bobcats in the women's 15K classic in 34th and 36th place respectively, with Chosy earning 19 carnival points and one NCAA point, and Watt picking up 17 carnival points.
On the men's side, junior
Mathias Boudreau-Golfman (Londonderry, Vt.) led the charge, taking 30th place out of 82 competitors with a time of 43:58, earning 16 carnival points and two NCAA points. First-year
Wyatt Teaford (Peru, Vt.) and senior captain
Cal Schrupp (Gilford, N.H.) rounded out the scoring for the men's team in 33rd and 35th place respectively.Â
The Bates Nordic and alpine skiing teams combined for 376 points over the course of two days at the Dartmouth Carnival, good for eighth place out of 14 teams.
The Bobcats are back in action next Friday and Saturday at the Williams Carnival.
