MIDDLETOWN, Conn.-- For the second outing in a row, No. 25 Bates College garnered a 5-4 victory as the Bobcats edged No. 27 Wesleyan University Saturday in men's squash action.
Ashton Monteiro and
Maks Celm authored 3-0 triumphs for the garnet and white at positions No. 4 and 6, respectively.
Alec Spiro held off Wesleyan's Nimai Kini, 3-1, at No. 1 while teammates
Nicolai Boe (No. 3) and
Max Good (No. 7) each locked down 3-2 triumphs for Bates.
The Bobcats (3-9) return home to host No. 22 Bowdoin this Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. in the Bates Squash Center. The team will honor
Tad Koenigsbauer and
Garrett Wenberg prior to the match with a special Senior Day celebration.
