NEW LONDON, Conn.-- No. 25 Bates College escaped Connecticut College with a 5-4 victory over the No. 30 Camels Friday night, highlighted by a thrilling five-game, come-from-behind triumph by first-year
Maks Celm.
With the overall score knotted at 4-4, Celm, playing at the No. 5 position for the Bobcats and trailing 2-0 in his respective match, fired off unanswered wins of 11-2, 15-13, and 11-5 to dismiss both Noah Fish and his fellow Camels (6-9).

Tad Koenigsbauer, and
Gus Silverman accounted for Bates' other four points with each recording 3-0 decisions in leading the garnet and white to its second win on the season (2-9).
The Bobcats immediately return to action Saturday afternoon at 1:00 p.m. in Middletown, Conn. with a visit to No. 27 Wesleyan University.
