Dublin, N.H. -- The Bates Nordic teams competed in the 3x5 kilometer classical technique relays Saturday at the Harvard Carnival, with the men recording a top-10 performance.
The trio of junior
Cal Schrupp (Gilford, N.H.), senior captain
Zander Martin (York, Maine), and sophomoreÂ
Mathias Boudreau-Golfman (Londonderry, Vt.) teamed up to race to the finish in 38:40.2, earning 46 carnival points for a 10th place showing out of 22 teams.Â
For the women, junior captain
Olivia Cuneo (St. George, Vt.), first-year
Liza Bell (Putney, Vt.), and sophomore
Eliza Skillings (North Yarmouth, Maine) scored 39 carnival points for Bates with a 14th place finish out of 21 schools, completing the relay in 47:09.2.Â
Combined, the Nordic and alpine skiing teams finished the Harvard Carnival with 256 points, which was enough for 11th place out of 14 schools. The Nordic skiing teams are back in action this Friday and Saturday at the Williams Carnival, held at Prospect Mountain.Â
