PHILADELPHIA -- Men's squash wrapped up its season-opening weekend Sunday as #22 Bates College took on #25 Navy in an eventual 7-2 win for the Midshipmen. The University of Pennsylvania hosted the contest.

Nicolai Boe proved victorious at No. 1 and No. 4, respectively.
Spiro collected his first win of the year by sending off Navy's Matthew Wang with scores of 11-4, 7-11, 11-8, 11-7. Boe, earning his first triumph as a Bobcat, topped Matthew Kang (11-9, 5-11, 11-9, 11-4).
The Midshipmen, winners in six of their last seven matches, go to 7-2 on the year. The garnet and white starts its year 0-2 overall.
Bates now prepares for its home opener as the Bobcats welcome #4 Trinity College to the Squash Center on Dec. 2 (6:00 p.m.) for a NESCAC tilt.
