HOPKINTON, N.H. -- Senior
Chrissy Aman turned in the race of her collegiate career to date, leading Bates women's cross country to second place out of 34 schools Saturday at the NCAA East Regional Championship, held at Hopkinton Fair Grounds.
Aman (Hanover, N.H.) raced to the finish in a personal-record time of 22:24.2 in the 6K race, good for 12th place out of 230 competitors. First-year
Leah White (Ann Arbor, Mich.) also turned in a personal-best performance, crossing the finish line right behind Aman in 22:24.56, a 13th place showing.
All seven Bates runners earned USTFCCCA All-East Region honors by finishing in the top 35 at the meet. Four Bobcats placed in the top 20.

Kahryn Cullenberg (Farmington, Maine) ran a personal-record time of 22:30.5 and sophomore
Elizabeth Holcombe (San Francisco, Calif.) checked in at 22:30.7, good for 17th and 18th place respectively.

Isabel May (Erving, Mass.) crossed the finish line in a personal-best 22:32.9, good for 21st place and junior
Phoebe Pohl (Wayland, Mass.) was close behind in 22nd with a time of 22:34.59.

Rebecca Anderson (Boone, N.C.) joined Pohl as a displacer in 32nd place, crossing the finish line in 22:56.83.
The top five times contributed to the team's scoring, as the Bobcats tallied 81 points, 19 points better than third-place WPI. MIT won the meet with 27 points, putting all five of their scorers in the top 10.
Bates now awaits its fate regarding the 2023 NCAA Championships. The 22 at-large team bids and individual bids will be announced on Sunday by no later than 3 p.m. on NCAA.com.
