NEW LONDON, Conn. -- The Bates women's tennis team rolled to a 9-0 win at Connecticut College in NESCAC action Saturday afternoon.

The Bobcats (3-5, 1-2 NESCAC) got things going against the Camels (2-8, 0-3 NESCAC) in doubles play, with first-year Drew Williams (Guilford, Conn.) teaming up with fellow first-year Olivia Gidlow (Cleveland, Ohio) to defeat Henri Waltz and Lily Dunne at No. 3 by a count of 8-0. 

Then senior captain Anna Rozin (Toronto, Ontario) and sophomore Ally Friedman (East Hampton, N.Y.) took care of business at No. 1 doubles, winning 8-2 over Conn. College's Brooke Scully and Ella Griffiths. Junior Joanna Atwater (Short Hills, N.J.) and sophomore Salma Alsikafi (Lake Bluff, Ill.) finished off the doubles sweep with a win at No. 2, 8-3 over Caitlin Cass and Caroline Champa.

Rozin, Atwater, and Friedman followed up their doubles wins with victories at No. 1 through 3 singles respectively as Bates swept all six singles matches.

Junior Alexandra D'Aquino (Weston, Conn.) won at No. 4 singles over Griffiths by a count of 7-5, 6-0 and junior Laura Littlefield (Ellicott City, Md.) defeated Champa 6-1, 6-2. 

Meanwhile, Williams turned in arguably the most dominant singles performance of the day, winning 6-1, 6-1 over Teagan O'Hara at No. 6.

The Bobcats are back in action Sunday at 2pm when they visit Trinity.
