HADLEY, Mass. -- Sophomore midfielder Charlie Fay and junior attacker Jack Allard both received All-NESCAC honors, and Peter Lasagna was named NESCAC Co-Coach of the Year on Thursday as the New England Small College Athletic Conference announced its 2015 Men's Lacrosse All-Conference Teams.

Fay (Brunswick, Maine) was voted to the First Team by league coaches, and Allard (Ridgewood, N.J.) was named to the Second Team -- the first career All-NESCAC selection for both players.

Lasagna wins his third NESCAC Coach of the Year honor, and shares this one with Amherst's Jon Thompson -- his counterpart in this Saturday's NESCAC semifinals at Amherst. Under Lasagna's leadership, the Bobcats have reached the 10-win mark for the first time since 1987, as well as the current No. 12 ranking in Division III and No. 3 ranking among New England teams. Bates ranks second in the NESCAC in goals allowed per game (9.07) and fourth in goals scored per game (12.43). The Bobcats have advanced to the NESCAC Championship semifinals for the first time since 2005, and are also in contention for their first-ever NCAA Division III Championship bid. Lasagna also received the honor in 2005 and 2013.

Since he returned from injury and joined Bates' lineup on March 25 against Keene State, Fay has led the Bobcats to a 7-1 record, including a current six-game win streak, all against NESCAC opponents. His career-high five goals led Bates to perhaps its biggest win in team history, the April 7 12-8 triumph at Tufts, which ended the defending NCAA champion Jumbos' 24-game winning streak. Fay has scored four or more goals in six of eight games and ranks second in the NESCAC in goals per game (3.50) and fourth in points per game (4.13). In NESCAC games he leads the conference with 25 goals, despite missing four out of six league games.

Allard ranks fourth in the NESCAC in goals scored (39), sixth in points (53) and 21st in assists (14), all career-high numbers for Bates' most prolific scorer since Jack Sandler '02. Allard had seven games this season with five or more points; some of his biggest games coincided with Bates' biggest games, such as his four goals and two assists in Saturday's NESCAC quarterfinals at Wesleyan; his four goals and one assist in the Tufts win; and five goals in Bates' 11-9 win at Trinity March 14. Allard also exploded for seven goals and two assists at Keene State on March 25.
