WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. – Women's soccer opened the 2026 campaign Saturday morning at No. 10 Williams, dropping a 1-0 decision to the Ephs in NESCAC action.
Williams' Bria Abbiati broke through in the 82nd minute, finding the back of the net to give the Ephs (1-0, 1-0 NESCAC) the late lead. Williams controlled much of the play throughout the contest, out-shooting Bates, 24-4, including a 9-2 advantage in shots on goal. Sophomore goalkeeper
Brady Jacobson (Weston, Mass.) made seven saves for the Bobcats.
Bates (0-1, 0-1 NESCAC) returns to action Tuesday for its home opener against Emmanuel. Kickoff is set for 6 p.m. at Russell Street Field.
