LEWISTON, Maine -- Six Bobcats have been selected to the College Sports Communicators Women's Track & Field/XC Academic All-District® Team, announced Tuesday.
Seniors
Gianna Ferrara and
Kylie Musante, along with juniors
Gwendolyn Anderson and
Emily Cain, and sophomores
Marie-Ève Maillet and
Juno Rogers, have each earned recognition on this elite list.
Ferrara, a biochemistry and Hispanic studies double major from Kent, Ohio, wraps up her collegiate career with a stellar 3.97 cumulative grade-point average. Gianna was presented the Milton L. Lindholm Scholar Athlete Award at the
3rd annual Catsbys in May, which is presented annually to the senior male and female athletes with the highest academic averages.
Also a 3x NESCAC Winter and Spring All-Academic Selection, Ferrara is one of 96 Senior Scholar Award-winners ... Bates student-athletes that participated in varsity sports for four years and maintained a cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or better.
Musante recorded a cumulative GPA of 3.94 as a sociology major. Like Ferrara, Kylie is also a Senior Scholar Award-winner. Residing in Brentwood, Tenn., Musante was also a four-year member of the Bates women's soccer program. She is a three-time member of the NESCAC Fall, Winter, and Spring All-Academic squads.
Anderson posted an astounding 3.98 grade-point average with a double major of earth & climate sciences and mathematics. A team captain for Bates women's cross country, Anderson competed in the 2024 Competed at the NCAA Division III East Region Championships in Hopkinton, N.H.
From Boone, N.C., Anderson has earned two NESCAC Fall All-Academic berths, as well as a pair of both Winter and Spring selections as a member of the indoor and outdoor track & field teams.
Cain makes her debut on this list sporting a perfect 4.00 GPA as a biochemistry major and Hispanic studies minor. Hailing from Burien, Wash., Emily has been selected to the NESCAC Winter and Spring All-Academic Team in each of the past two seasons.
Maillet, a biochemistry major from Saint-Antoine, New Brunswick, checks in with a 3.98 grade-point. Marie-Ève earned athletic acclaim this past spring with a selection to the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-East Region team. The Winter and Spring NESCAC All-Academic pick recorded a career-best outdoor shot put mark of 39-3 (11.96m) at the Pine Tree Classic in April.
Rogers lands on this squad with her 3.94 GPA as a sociology major. The Decatur, Ga. resident also made an appearance on the USTFCCCA All-Region roster after a 3,880-point showing in the heptathlon at the Tufts Spring Invitational (April) ... the sixth-most points in program history.
Also a Winter and Spring NESCAC All-Academic selection, Juno was one of 20 first-year students to be selected as a Dana Scholar by Bates in 2025.
The 2025-26 Academic All-District® Women's Track & Field/Cross Country teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes women's track & field/cross country honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2025-26 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs.
