LEWISTON, Maine — Seniors Elliott Cravitz, Chiwer Mayen, and Peter Psyhogeos were named to the College Sports Communicators Men's Basketball Academic All-District® Team, announced Tuesday.
Cravitz and Psyhogeos each earn their second career selection, while Mayen makes his Academic All-District® debut. The trio helped lead the Bobcats to their first NCAA Championship Tournament appearance since 2014–15.
A native of Denver, Colo., Cravitz returns to the list with a 3.75 GPA as an economics major. A three-time NESCAC All-Academic selection, the senior guard and team captain started all 27 games, averaging 6.9 points.
Cravitz recorded six double-digit scoring games, highlighted by a season-high 19 points in an 82–79 win over nationally ranked Maryville on Dec. 30.
Psyhogeos, also an economics major with a 3.75 GPA, earns Academic All-District® honors for the second straight season. The Yarmouth, Maine, native appeared in 26 games with 16 starts, averaging 7.2 points and 4.2 rebounds.
A three-time NESCAC All-Academic honoree, Psyhogeos posted seven double-digit scoring efforts, including a season-high 18 points in an 89–84 win at Colby on Jan. 18. He also added 11 points and nine rebounds in Bates' 70–59 win at Amherst in the NESCAC quarterfinals (Feb. 21).
Mayen closes his career with Academic All-District® honors after posting a 3.54 GPA as a sociology major. A Lewiston native by way of Jackson, Miss., the senior center also earned NESCAC All-Academic recognition for the first time.
Appearing in 27 games with two starts, Mayen totaled 74 points, 10 blocks, and 301 minutes. He delivered a career-best performance with 18 points and 11 rebounds in a 101–53 win over Thomas on Dec. 15.
The 2025–26 Academic All-District® Men's Basketball teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately honors men's basketball student-athletes in four divisions: NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, and NAIA.
