LEWISTON, Maine -- The NESCAC champion Bates women's basketball team will host the first two rounds of the NCAA Division III Championship tournament this Friday and Saturday at Alumni Gymnasium.

On Friday, Smith College takes on Union College at Alumni Gym, with tip set for 4:45 p.m. Doors open at 3:45 p.m.

The Bobcats play U.S. Merchant Marine Academy on Friday following the Smith-Union game, with tip set for 7:15 p.m. 

The winners of their respective first-round games will square off Saturday in the second round at 7:15 p.m. in Alumni Gym, with a bid to the "Sweet 16" on the line. Doors open at 6:15 p.m.

Tickets for both rounds are $15 for adults, $10 for seniors (65+) and students (all NCAA mandated pricing). Round 1 tickets (Friday, both games) and Round 2 tickets (Saturday) are on sale now. (No refunds. No exchanges.)
