WATERVILLE, Maine -- The Bates women's indoor track and field team prepared for New Englands by competing at the Mules Tune-up on Saturday, a non-scoring meet hosted by Colby College.
Meet Highlights
- First-year Alisandra Lindos (Westbrook, Maine) won the long jump with a personal-record leap of 17-9 (5.41m), good for a tie for fifth on the Bates all-time performance list in the event.
- Sophomore Marie-Ève Maillet (Saint-Antoine, New Brunswick) won the shot put with a personal-record toss of 39-6.5 (12.05m), good for seventh on the Bates all-time performance list. She also took second in the 20-pound weight throw with a personal-record heave of 47-3.75 (14.42m).
- Senior Kylie Musante (Brentwood, Tenn.) won the 1,000 meters in a personal-record time of 3:01.42, good for 10th on the Bates all-time performance list. Musante automatically qualified for New Englands, while first-year Annika Carpenter (San Francisco, Calif.) and senior Kylee Fuller (Lovelock, Nev.) both provisionally qualified with times of 3:13.16 and 3:13.23, respectively.
- Junior Alannah Ardrey (New York, N.Y.) won the triple jump with a New Englands automatic qualifying leap of 36-0.25 (10.98m).
- Sophomore Dara Salka (Somers, Conn.) won her section and placed fifth overall in the 200-meter dash in a personal-record time of 27.22 seconds, a New England provisional qualifying mark. She also finished ninth in the 60-meter hurdles in a personal-record time of 10.22 seconds.
- Sophomore Mikayla Ferguson (Winchester, Mass.) won the mile with a personal-record time of 5:23.18, provisionally qualifying for New Englands in the event.
- Senior captain Carli Ciavarelli (Ridgefield, Conn.) won the 20-pound weight throw with a toss of 54-3.25 (16.54m).
The Bobcats are back in action next weekend at the New England Division III Indoor Championships, with the pentathlon taking place Friday at Tufts and the majority of the meet happening Sunday in Boston at the TRACK at new balance.
