BOSTON -- The Bates women's indoor track and field team competed Sunday at Middlebury's New England Small College Invite, a non-scoring meet held at the TRACK at new balance.

Meet Highlights

• Senior captain Carli Ciavarelli (Ridgefield, Conn.) won the 20-pound weight throw with a top effort of 50-4.5 (15.35m) and first-year Temperance England (Havertown, Pa.) was the runner-up with a mark of 49-5.75 (15.08m).
• Senior captain Moriah Scharn (Dunstable, Mass.) won her section in the 200-meter dash with a personal-record time of 26.74 seconds.
• Senior Kylee Fuller (Lovelock, Nev.) set a personal record in the 400 meters with a time of 1:04.72.
• Junior Alannah Ardrey (New York City) placed sixth in the high jump, clearing the bar at 5-0.25 (1.53m) and provisionally qualifying for New Englands.
• First-year Clare Pritchard (Montpelier, Vt.) took third in the pole vault with a top clearance of 9-4.25 (2.85m).

The Bobcats host the Maine State Meet this Saturday at 9:30 a.m. in Merrill Gym.
