Men's track and field wraps up weekend at Middlebury’s New England Small College Invite

BOSTON -- The Bates men's indoor track and field team concluded a busy weekend by competing at Sunday's New England Small College Invite, a non-scoring meet hosted by Middlebury at the TRACK at new balance.

Meet Highlights

Senior captain Evan Migdole (Westbrook, Conn.) set a personal record in the 400 meters and took first place in his section and sixth place overall at the meet with his time of 49.96 seconds, good for seventh on the Bates top 10 all-time performance list.
Junior Matt Charpentier (York, Maine) won the shot put by nearly seven feet with a heave of 52-9.25 (16.08m), a new personal-best indoors for Charpentier at Bates.
Sophomore Ryan Glaser (Rockport, Maine) won the 35-pound weight throw with a personal-record toss of 56-6.75 (17.24m). He was also third in the shot put with a throw of 45-7.25 (13.90m).
First-year George Klatsky (Falmouth, Maine) set a new season-best in the shot put and took fourth place in the event with his throw of 44-8.75 (13.63m).
Sophomore Benjamin Schutta (Philadelphia, Pa.) took eighth in the long jump with a leap of 20-4.5 (6.21m).
Senior captain Carson Moellering (Natick, Mass.), first-year Briggs Catino (Rye, N.H.), first-year Winslow Bouverat (Petaluma, Calif.), and junior Evan Berthiaume (East Greenwich, R.I.) placed seventh in the 4x400 relay in 3:29.18.
