BOSTON -- The Bates women's indoor track and field team sent a handful of runners to Friday's John Thomas Terrier Classic, held at Boston University. The Bobcats impressed with a number of personal records and one runner cracking the program's top 10 all-time performance list.
Meet Highlights
- First-year Hannah Pawlowski (Bow, N.H.) won her section with a time of 2:14.01 in the 800 meters, good for sixth on the Bates all-time performance list.
- Senior Kylie Musante (Brentwood, Tenn.) put up an indoor personal-best time in the 800 of 2:18.78, good for a New England Division III championships provisional qualifying mark.
- Senior captain Lucy Paynter (Hillsborough, Calif.) also set an indoor personal-best time in the 800, crossing the finish line in 2:24.29 and provisionally qualifying for New Englands.
- First-year Maeve Ginevan (Falmouth, Maine) paced four Bobcats in the mile with a time of 5:29.28 and sophomore Kyra Buckley (Peabody, Mass.) set a personal-best mark in the event with a time of 5:36.91.
- Sophomore Mikayla Ferguson (Winchester, Mass.) set a new personal record in the 3,000 meters with her time of 10:49.02 and first-year Annalise Wood (Hinesburg, Vt.) also set a collegiate PR with her 3K time of 11:03.56.
The majority of the Bates women's track and field team is competing Sunday at Middlebury's New England Small College Invite, being held in Boston at the TRACK at new balance.
