LEWISTON, Maine -- No. 22 Bates notched its second-straight win Saturday at the Bates Squash Center, handling No. 32 Hobart 7–2 in men's squash action.
Dennis Welte, playing at the top spot for the Bobcats, enjoyed a perfect 3-0 triumph ( 11-3, 11-6, 11-5) in the opener vs. Hobart's Adam Le while
Ashton Monteiro (11-1, 11-4, 11-3) coasted to a shutout victory over Caio Paiva at the No. 2 position.
Parker Davis (11-5, 11-4, 11-4),
Rodrigo Chon Him (11-4 11-2, 11-5),
Tommy Le (11-4, 11-5, 11-0), and
Tanish Tangri (11-2, 11-8, 11-4) posted 3-0 decisions at positions four through seven, respectively.
The Statesmen (0-7) remain winless after the setback.
The Bobcats (3-3) will play its third match in as many days as the garnet and white treks to Cambridge, Mass. Sunday to take on No. 13 MIT (7-2) at 3:00 p.m.
