BALLSTON SPA, N.Y. -- The Bates men's golf team bounced back from a tough first round on Saturday to finish strong Sunday at the Tim Brown Invitational, held at Ballston Spa Country Club.
Bates shot six over par as a team on Sunday, the eighth-lowest round of the day in the field of 20 teams. They finished 16th out of 20 teams overall with their two-day score of 35 over par. The Bobcats were only six strokes back of 11th place as they rallied to finish the tournament on a high note.
First-year
Sean Resnick (Walpole, Mass.) led the way for the Bobcats, tying for 29th place out of 108 individuals in the field. He moved up 22 spots thanks to his even-par round on Sunday, bouncing back from a five-over-par first round. In the second round, Resnick recorded three birdies on his way to a 71.
Senior captain
Will Phillips (Portland, Ore.) was just one stroke back of Resnick, as he also finished at even par on Sunday. Phillips was six over par in Saturday's first round. All five Bobcats improved from round one to round two. Senior captain

Henry Ehrlich (Portland, Ore.) showed the biggest improvement, cutting eight strokes off to finish tied with Curtis for 70th overall at 12 over par for the tournament. Sophomore
