Malin Adams moved up 19 spots on day two to finish in a tie for 40th out of 69 competitors, highlighting the Penmen Season Finale for the Bates men's golf team.
The tournament was held Friday and Saturday at Beaver Meadow Golf Course and featured mostly NCAA Division II schools.
Adams (Litchfield, Conn.) recorded two birdies and shot a 77 to start the tournament. He followed that up with an impressive 74, making five birdies along the way to finish seven over par for the tournament.
Sophomore
Sean Resnick (Walpole, Mass.) finished just one stroke behind Adams, tying for 43rd place overall at eight over par. He shot a 74 on Friday and a 78 on Saturday.
As a team, the Bobcats finished in 12th place at 40 over par. All 11 schools ahead of them are NCAA Division II programs.
Bates returns to action this Friday through Sunday when the Bobcats compete at the NESCAC Men's Golf Championship, being held at Fox Hopyard Golf Club in East Haddam, Conn.
