WATERFORD, Conn. -- The Bates men's cross country team competed at the Connecticut College Invitational on Saturday, placing 14th out of 34 schools in the "Blue" race and 5th out of 37 schools in the "White" race.
The "Blue" race featured the top runners in the field and junior
Jack Crum (Bristol, Vt.) led the way, taking 64th out of 264 competitors with his time of 25:08.3. Sophomore
Nate Roberts (Summit, N.J.) wasn't far behind in 78th place with a time of 25:14, good for 78th place. Junior
Nathaniel Aronson (West Hartford, Conn.) also finished in the top 100, taking 94th in 25:29.9.

Campbell MacDonald (Carlisle, Mass.) led the Bobcats in the "White" race, coming in 19th in a field of 363 runners with his time of 25:46.48. Junior
Daniel Cassata (Annandale, Va.) and sophomore
Christopher Pottle (Winthrop, Maine) both finished in the top 30 with times of 25:55.4 and 25:56.6, good for 26th and 27th place, respectively.
The Bobcats return to action on Saturday, Nov. 1 when they compete at the NESCAC Championships, which will also be hosted by Connecticut College at Harkness Park.
