LEWISTON, Maine -- #24 Bates College erased its three-match losing streak in a big way Sunday as the Bobcats collected a 9-0 triumph over #26 Wesleyan at the Bates Squash Center.
Playing without captain
Alec Spiro, who was in New York City competing in the 2025 CSA Individual Championships, the Bobcats did just fine without their senior leader as the garnet and white collected its first shutout win since Jan. 11, 2020 vs. Connecticut College.
Ashton Monteiro,
Harris Ramlee, and
Ryan Kim, playing at positions 3, 4, and 5, respectively, each recorded 3-0 wins for the home team.
Maks Celm (No. 7) and
Max Good (No. 8) did the same for the Bobcats, while
Dennis Welte (No. 1),
Labeeb Ali (No. 2), and
Angad Sethi (No. 6) locked down needed four games each to lock down victories.
The Bobcats (4-6) now hit the road as the squad visits #22 Bowdoin this Wednesday at 5:00 p.m.
