LEWISTON, Maine -- No. 23 Bates, taking the court for the first time since Dec. 8, returned to action in a huge way as the Bobcats secured a 7-2 home victory vs. No. 25 Hamilton Wednesday evening at the Bates Squash Center.
Dennis Welte, playing at the top spot for the Bobcats, enjoyed a perfect 3-0 triumph (Â 11-5, 11-7, 11-6) while
Ashton Monteiro (11-7, 11-4, 11-4) coasted to a shutout victory at the No. 3 position.Â
Ryan Kim (11-5, 11-8, 11-7),
Angad Sethi (12-10, 11-7, 11-8),
Maks Celm (11-5, 11-5, 11-5), and
Max Good (11-9, 12-10, 11-6)Â posted perfect 3-0 decisions at positions 5-8, respectively.
Facing an initial 1-0 deficit at No. 4,
Harris Ramlee rallied to secure the next three games of his match to secure a 3-1 comeback win (7-11, 11-7, 11-9, 11-8).
The Bobcats (3-3) return to action Friday at 6:00 p.m. as Bates welcomes No. 20 Middlebury to Lewiston.
